Best of the college football recruiting visits: Big Ten

Nebraska stole the game and the recruiting weekend in the Big Ten Conference, with its last-minute win over Michigan State. The victory was timely, as the Huskers needed some positive momentum on the field and also had some big recruits on campus for the game.

Wide receiver (and current Louisville commit) Desmond Fitzpatrick tweeted a picture of his arrival package, cookie cake included, when his visit started.

He capped off the visit by tweeting his reaction to seeing the game live and in person.

He wasn’t the only recruit to show what he thought of the game, as running back Tre Bryant was also excited about what he just saw.

Who could blame them, as the atmosphere was electric and the team was having some fun in the locker room after the game, a scene which was displayed by commit Boe Wilson.

The Michigan Wolverines came away with a victory against Rutgers this weekend and hosted a few big recruits of their own.

The biggest was likely ESPN 300 defensive lineman Chris Daniels, who was on his official visit. Daniels tweeted a picture showing some cookies and a few items the Michigan staff left him in his hotel room.

The recruits in attendance were treated to an easy win and they also got the chance to meet rapper Big Sean, who was in town for a concert stop.

Michigan didn’t have a huge visitor list, but the prospects on hand were important, including recently offered 2017 athlete Antjuan Simmons.

The Ohio State Buckeyes held off Minnesota to stay undefeated and were hosting ESPN 300 linebacker Daelin Hayes from Michigan.

Hayes recently decommitted from USC and is now considering the Buckeyes as well as Notre Dame and a few others.

The coaching staff at Northwestern offered 2017 prospect Cody White while on his visit and his coach took to Twitter to announce the accomplishment.

The Wildcats also hosted Jafar Armstrong, another 2017 recruit, for the game.
