Best of the college football recruiting visits: SEC

This was one of the biggest weekends of the college football season, including in the SEC where Florida clinched a spot in the championship game by beating Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon, while Alabama regained control of the West division with a big win over LSU and an Ole Miss loss. As always, there were several visitors on hand for these top games. While some recruits posted videos, others tweeted photos of their experience. Here’s a closer look at the sights and sounds from the weekend visitors:

The Alabama/LSU game was the biggest game of the weekend. Alabama hosted several top visitors for its dominating win over LSU on Saturday night. Among the visitors was five-star linebacker Lyndell "Mack" Wilson. The Alabama native claims to have Florida as his leader, but the Crimson Tide are certainly still in the mix and judging by a few of his tweets, Alabama made a favorable impression on him.

Several other top 2017 Alabama recruits posed for a photo including ESPN Junior 300 prospects Kendall Randolph, Will Ignont and A.J. Harris.

One of the top athletes in the country, Mecole Hardman has always had Georgia and Tennessee at the top of his list, but the Crimson Tide have been trying to make a push as of late. Hardman, the 29th-ranked player in the ESPN 300, tweeted a photo standing next to an Alabama national championship trophy before the game.

Georgia got a much-needed win over Kentucky on Saturday. After struggling in recent weeks, the Bulldogs were hoping to regain their form in front of several recruits. ESPN 300 offensive lineman E.J. Price was on hand and tweeted out a photo of himself and a few of his teammates.

Junior defensive end Jake Lawler, who has offers from Virginia Tech, UNC, NC State, Duke and Wake Forest, was also on hand to watch Georgia’s big win. Lawler posted a video of the crowd at Sanford Stadium as Georgia took the field before the game.

The Gators won the SEC East with a win over Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon. Several recruits were on hand to watch as the Gators survived a scare from the Commodores. Jermaine Eskridge, a 2018 Kentucky commit from Tampa, Florida, was on hand and posted a photo on Twitter while he was at the game.

Tennessee hosted some key visitors for its big 27-24 win over SEC East opponent South Carolina on Saturday night. Four-star defensive end Emmit Gooden was on hand a posted a picture inside of Neyland Stadium prior to the beginning of the game.

Four-star offensive tackle Marcus Tatum visited Tennessee this weekend. Tatum has a top two of Florida and Tennessee with Miami still in the mix. Tatum posted a photo of Neyland Stadium before the crowd arrived at the game.
