          Best of the college football recruiting visits: Big 12

          Things didn’t go exactly way Oklahoma State wanted in the Bedlam battle with in-state rival Oklahoma, but the Cowboys still had a chance to impress a good group of official and unofficial visitors on campus. Here’s a look at some of those visits, along with others throughout a the Big 12, viewed through social media:

          The biggest official visitor for Oklahoma State was five-star tight end Isaac Nauta of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, but he wasn’t the only impact prospect in Stillwater. Also there for an official visit was Malik Kearse, the 10th-best junior-college cornerback prospect. Kearse of Fort Scott (Kansas) Community College is expected to compete for playing time right away at Oklahoma State.

          Also making it through the icy weather was Oklahoma State cornerback pledge Rodarius Williams of Shreveport (Louisiana) Calvary Baptist Academy and Cowboy offensive tackle commitment Ryan McCollum of Spring (Texas) Klein Oak. McCollum’s visit was important, because Texas A&M has been making a push for him over the last few weeks.

          ESPN Junior 300 cornerback Jamyest Williams of Lawrenceville (Georgia) Archer was the top junior recruit in Stillwater Saturday. The four-star recruit, who ranks as the fifth-best junior corner in the country, also made a visit to Norman on Sunday for an unofficial visit to Oklahoma.

          Also in town was 2017 cornerback Cheyenne Labruzza of Albany (Louisiana) High School. The 6-foot, 175-pounder has offers from Louisiana-Lafayette and Tulane along with heavy interest from Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, LSU and Oklahoma State.

          West Virginia welcomed a handful of top prospects for the Senior Day matchup with Iowa State, including class of 2017 defensive tackle Derrius Mullins. The 6-5, 300-pound Mullins has offers from Boston College, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kent State, Ohio, Toledo and Wisconsin, but others like West Virginia Michigan State, Northwestern and Ohio State are showing a lot of interest.
