Big names come off the board in the afternoon on signing day

Signing day is starting to wind down, with just a few more big-name prospects left to make their announcements. We have seen a ton of movement throughout the afternoon, and USC is one team moving up the rankings.

The Trojans landed ESPN 300 offensive lineman E.J. Price and cornerback Jackie Jones in the afternoon. Those commitments helped move USC up five spots in the class rankings to No. 11 overall, with 11 ESPN 300 commitments.

The West Coast teams were hot today, with USC and UCLA picking up a few big commitments. The Bruins added ESPN 300 defensive lineman Boss Tagaloa, the No. 95 overall prospect.

Adding ESPN 300 linebacker Mique Juarez earlier in the day moved UCLA into the No. 14 class ranking overall.

Tagaloa’s teammate, ESPN 300 tight end Devin Asiasi, surprised some by picking Michigan over UCLA. The two had said they would like to play together at the same program, but that didn’t work out, as Asiasi believed Ann Arbor is the best place for him.

Asiasi joined the No. 1-ranked prospect overall, defensive lineman Rashan Gary, who committed to Michigan in the afternoon, which moved the Wolverines up to No. 6 overall.

Auburn added a five-star defensive lineman as well with Derrick Brown, along with ESPN 300 offensive lineman Prince Sammons.
