In Markaviest Bryant, Auburn got its first 2017 commitment from a defensive end. Phelan M. Ebenhack for ESPN

The ninth-ranked defensive end in the country committed to the Auburn Tigers over LSU and the in-state Georgia Bulldogs.

Markaviest Bryant, who is the 100th-ranked player in the ESPN 300, visited all three of his top schools along with Alabama, but the in-state Tigers won out.

With Bryant in the fold, Auburn now has nine ESPN 300 signees/commitments and 24 players in their 2017 recruiting class overall.

Bryant, a four-star prospect, is the only defensive end pledged to the Tigers.
