North Carolina is hiring Ole Miss offensive coordinator Phil Longo for the same position, a source tells ESPN. The Athletic first reported the move, as Mack Brown now has both of his coordinators in place. Longo spent the past two seasons at Ole Miss, which now will be replacing both coordinators following a 5-7 season.

Ole Miss has fired defensive coordinator Wesley McGriff a day after ending the season at 5-7. The Rebels allowed an SEC-worst 36.2 points per game, as well as 483.4 yards per game. "Despite the challenges his unit faced this season, we can be better on that side of the ball, and I determined new leadership is needed," coach Matt Luke said in a prepared statement. "I want to thank Wesley for his hard work and dedication to Ole Miss."
