Man City to beat United in key Manchester Derby?

Not much went right for the column at the weekend but attention now shifts to Wednesday evening and a huge Manchester derby that could go a long way towards settling this season's title race.

Running total: -£70.25

The Banker

Manchester United were truly terrible in that 4-0 loss to Everton on Sunday and even the most optimistic fans must be worried ahead of Wednesday's crunch Manchester Derby clash. Much has been made over whether United fans might actually prefer neighbours City to win the title rather than arch-rivals Liverpool, and on current form it's hard to make a case for anything other than a resounding Manchester City win here. Too many big stars are struggling in this United side, and they are leaking goals. That's a bad combination and with confidence low they could be blown away the likes of Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva at the Theatre of Dreams.

Selection: £4 on Manchester City to win to nil at 13/8 with bet365.

The First Goal Flutter

Bernardo Silva has scored 13 goals in an impressive season for Manchester City and he looks a big price to score first at Old Trafford. With Kevin De Bruyne missing through injury the Portuguese star should start in a more central position in midfield and 10/1 looks big for a player with a wand of a left foot.

Selection: £2 on Bernardo Silva to score first at 10/1 with bet365.

The Tasty Treble

Picking up a point at Molineux ended a run of four straight defeats for Brighton but the Seagulls look firmly up against it when they face Spurs on Tuesday. Mauricio Pochettino's men are well placed to secure a top four finish but with just three points separating four teams between third place and sixth place, he will know there is no margin for error between now and the end of the season. Add in Manchester City (4/9) to see off Manchester United and Arsenal at 6/4 to win at misfiring Wolves for a Premier League treble paying just shy of 4/1 with bet365.

Selection: £6 on the treble at with bet365.

The Euro Wager

AC Milan face Lazio in what looks an intriguing Coppa Italia semifinal on Wednesday. Bookmakers are struggling to split the teams but the hosts have a brilliant record against the Aquile. They've not lost in 26 home encounters with Lazio in Serie A, while they've been beaten only once in 31 clashes at San Siro in all competitions.

Selection: £4 on AC Milan to win at 29/20 with bet365.

The Wildcard Tip

Alexandre Lacazette has been one of Arsenal's most consistent performers this season and he is a 7/1 shout to score two or more against Wolves on Wednesday night. The hosts don't seem to have fully recovered from that heartbreaking FA Cup semifinal loss to Watford and could struggle against an Arsenal side who are still striving for a top four finish.

Selection: £1 on Lacazette to score two goals of more at 7/1 with bet365.
