Mo Bamba misses Kansas game with left toe injury, status for Saturday unclear

Texas freshman Mohamed Bamba missed Monday night's 80-70 loss to Kansas with a left toe injury, and Texas coach Shaka Smart said Bamba's status is in question for the regular-season finale against West Virginia on Saturday.

The severity of Bamba's sprained toe remains undetermined, Smart said.

Bamba originally suffered the injury against Oklahoma earlier this month and sat out most of Saturday's win over Oklahoma State. He played just 15 minutes against the Cowboys.

Bamba, a likely top-five pick in June's NBA draft, is averaging 13.0 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.8 blocks this season.

Texas entered the week squarely on the NCAA tournament bubble and among Joe Lunardi's last four in. The Longhorns are 17-13 overall (7-10 in the Big 12), with Saturday's finale against West Virginia at home before the Big 12 tournament.
