If these teams win through the pool phase and knockout stages at the World Cup, the first time they are scheduled to meet would be the final. And what a final that would be.

And from the recycled ball, Ireland win a penalty! Huge turnover for the Irish, who now have Peter O'Mahony needing treatment for what looks like cramp. Ireland have been absolutely fantastic at the breakdown, poaching over and over again and forcing the All Blacks into infringements.

It's a set-piece play, with Ireland shortening their lineout, and switching the direction of play back towards the short side once it gets to Bundee Aki. It gets to Stockdale, who bursts through spectacularly and then latches on perfectly to his own kick ahead, using his momentum to slide in over the line from about five metres out. Spectacular play, one of the tries of the international year, not least for the fact that it was absolutely one off the training pitch. Joe Schmidt will be delighted with its execution. Ireland are flying.

Kieran Read blocks it -- and then immediately knocks on with nobody between him and the try line. Wow. Big opportunity goes begging.

Massive mental plus-point for Ireland in that passage of play.
