Jeske stages another Dayton comeback, beats Butler 27-22

DAYTON, Ohio -- Alex Jeske hit Adam Trautman for the game-winning touchdown to cap Dayton's come-from-behind, 27-22 win over Butler in a Pioneer Football League showdown Saturday.

Butler (5-4, 3-3), riding a three-game win streak coming into the game, built a 22-10 halftime lead behind running back Sam Schrader, who ran for two first-half touchdowns and passed for another.

The Flyers (4-5, 3-3), who used a 27-point third quarter to beat Davidson last week, started its comeback on Allen Waltz' 32-yard field goal. Tucker Yinger capped a six-play, 72-yard drive with a 13-yard touchdown with 5:51 left in the third. Jeske capped a nine-play, 71-yard drive with his pass to Trautman.

Jeske finished 13 of 27 for 172 yards without an interception and carried 11 times for 67 yards.

Schrader completed 5 of 8 pass attempts and carried 17 times for 67 yards.

Dayton hosts Marist in its home finale Saturday.
