Second half died a little with the very many substitutions and on reflection, a draw was probably a fair result. Fairly decent game but nothing to write home about.

A typical friendly match saw both sides committed to attacking. Portugal played some nice stuff but lacked a predator in the box. Always looked as like if they were to score it would be something spectacular - which it was. Cracking free-kick from Pauleta. England's effort was more scrappy but they earned it with some good play on the break and some poor home defending.
