Denmark get back in contention with win over Kazakhstan

Denmark put themselves back in contention of qualifying from FIFA World Cup European Qualifying Group E following a comfortable 4-1 victory over Kazakhstan in Copenhagen.

Andreas Cornelius opened the scoring for the hosts on 15 minutes when he headed home Yussuf Poulsen's right-wing cross from close range.

Gafurzhan Suyumbaev equalised two minutes later but Christian Eriksen restored Denmark's lead before the break from the penalty spot.

Peter Ankersen drilled in a third after he got on the end of Riza Durmisi's low cross before Eriksen sealed the victory with the goal of the match following a mazy run from the halfway line saw him jink past two defenders before slotting in for his second of the night.
