Lithuania find winner in stoppage time after rare San Marino away goal

Matteo Vitaioli ended San Marino's run of 34 away games without a goal but it was not enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat to Lithuania in Euro 2016 qualifying Group E.

Lukas Spalvis broke the visitors' hearts in injury-time to deny them a rare point after both sides had been reduced to 10 men.

Fedor Cernych put the hosts in front after seven minutes but Lithuanian goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis was sent off after 50 minutes, and five minutes later Vitaioli struck the equaliser.

But after San Marino's Nicola Chiaruzzi was sent off in the 88th minute, Spalvis struck the winner in the first minute of stoppage time.
