Player Focus
Demonstrating plenty of AFL-worthy traits, Stefan Radovanovic was special for Western in their convincing victory against Greater Western Victoria. The 192cm, 85kg, midfielder stood out from the pack with his explosiveness away from the contest. He was also frequently down low to win ground balls, first possession at stoppages before accelerating away at speed.
Radovanovic is a dual position player who not only plays effectively through the midfield but also is well suited to playing across half-back where his intercepting capabilities and run and dare are features that set him apart.
The most memorable moment of the game from Radovanovic when he won possession at a stoppage, accelerated on a 10m burst away from the contest before slotting a goal from 45m on the move.
Radovanovic is the type of player who looks to take on the game at every opportunity. He also showed some of his tricks with a powerful fend-off on the move and in another play he played on from a mark, showed the ball to the opponent and accelerated away before kicking inside 50m and finding a target.
In the strong winds in Williamstown, Radovanovic elevated Western to a convincing win against Greater Western Victoria. The tall midfielder posted 15 disposals, nine contested possessions, five clearances and one goal, with his impact per possession arguably the highest on the field.
Radovanovic shares some similarities with Port Adelaide's Sam Powell-Pepper as a tall and explosive midfielder who also provides run off half-back. Radovanovic is still in the early stages of his development and will need to develop into a more prolific ball winner as well as improving his tackling and endurance.
Despite representing Vic Metro during the Under-18 Championships, Radovanovic has not received a draft combine invite which suggests he will be on few draft boards. If drafted, Radovanovic is likely to feature in the latter portion of the draft or even as a rookie.
TAC Cup
With wild winds in Williamstown, Daly Andrews read the conditions as well as any for Western, intercepting at will. The ball winning midfielder secured 27 disposals, 14 contested possessions and 10 inside 50s.
Tackling aggressively, winning the ball at stoppages and providing explosive run, Western midfielder Connor Thar posted 23 disposals, 11 contested possessions, 10 tackles, five clearances and one goal. Thar has been one of Western's most consistent performers and has been among his sides best players in his last six games.
In just his third TAC Cup game, marking strongly one-on-one and attacking the ball aerially, Daniel Pantalleresco provided an impressive option up forward for Western. Pantalleresco had no difficulty converting his set shots including an impressive drop punt goal from the boundary. The 186cm, 85kg, goal sneak managed 11 disposals, three marks (two contested) and five goals.
Playing a prominent midfield role, likely top-two choice Sam Walsh led Geelong's midfield in an 81-point thrashing of Bendigo. The hard-working midfielder collected 33 disposals, 10 contested possessions, six marks, four inside 50s and two score assists.
Geelong's other driving force through the midfield was Oscar Brownless. The likely Geelong father-son nominee contributed 27 disposals, 15 contested possessions, seven clearances and eight inside 50s. Brownless who is better known for his outside run and ball use was his side's most impressive player at stoppages. He has progressed substantially since the start of the season and will be in hot demand in this year's draft.
Classy Geelong overage forward Brayden Ham collected 20 disposals, 12 marks and five goals. Ham appears to be one of this year's likely value choices in the second half of this year's draft, having influenced games at a consistently high level with his damaging ball use.
Prolific ball winning midfielder Mitch Podhajski reminded recruiters that he is one of the most ready-to-go midfielders with a dominant performance for Calder in their win against Murray. The 191cm overage midfielder amassed 35 disposals, 12 contested possessions, 10 marks (three contested), seven inside 50s and four goals in a complete performance.
Powerful ball winning midfielder Ely Smith was Murray's most prolific midfielder with 32 disposals, 17 contested possessions, five tackles, five clearances, eight inside 50s and two score assists.
Pushing up the ground more than he was in the early portion of the season, powerful marking forward Hudson Garoni posted 23 disposals, 10 marks, four inside 50s, and two goals for Murray.
Following a three-goal haul last week, underager Will Chandler for the second successive week was Murray's best route to goal. The 183cm, 72kg, forward, secured 14 disposals, five marks, four inside 50s, four goals and two score assists.
For Sandringham in their 10-point win against Eastern, underager Ryan Byrnes earned best on ground honours, making the most of the absence of his side's better known midfielders. The 179cm, 75kg, midfielder amassed 39 disposals, 17 contested possessions, five marks, six tackles, six clearances and five inside 50s.
Overager Kai Owens provided Byrnes with strong midfield support, posting 36 disposals, 15 contested possessions, seven marks, five tackles and five clearances.
Northern underager Sam Philp stood out for the second consecutive week with his ball winning at stoppages and distribution by hand. The 184cm, 77kg, midfielder secured 29 disposals, 21 contested possessions, two contested marks and seven clearances.
Figuring prominently through Dandenong's midfield, Finlay Bayne was one of his side's best for Dandenong in their win against Northern. The 177cm, 68kg, midfielder collected 31 disposals, 14 contested possessions, nine marks (one contested), eight tackles, four inside 50s, two goals and one score assist.
Dandenong captain Campbell Hustwaite gathered 26 disposals, 17 contested possessions, 10 tackles, seven clearances and nine inside 50s.
Sam Fletcher was Dandenong's other prolific midfielder with 24 disposals, 14 contested possessions, 14 tackles, seven clearances and one goal.
Playing a pivotal part for Gippsland in their win against Oakleigh, captain Xavier Duursma secured 29 disposals, 15 contested possessions, seven marks (one contested), eight inside 50s and two score assists.
Underager Trent Bianco had a breakout performance for Oakleigh in their five-point loss to Gippsland. The 178cm, 70kg, midfielder accumulated team highs of 40 disposals, 12 contested possessions, eight marks, four clearances and seven rebound 50s.

Continuing his push to be re-drafted, Sam Collins played arguably his best game for the season with a best-on-ground performance of 24 disposals and 15 marks (10 contested) in Werribee's convincing win against Coburg.

League
Among West Adelaide's bests in their win against Port Adelaide, Izak Rankine impacted the game with 19 disposals and seven marks.
For North Adelaide, in their three-point loss to Glenelg, Connor Rozee was named in the bests for the first time at League level. The exciting forward produced 13 disposals, six marks and two goals.
Reserves
Overage defender Lachlan Pascoe collected team highs of 27 disposals and six rebound 50s for Norwood in their loss to South Adelaide.
Helping Sturt to a convincing win against the Eagles, Tom Lewis posted 19 disposals, seven tackles and one goal. Of Lewis' eight Reserves games, he has featured in the bests seven times.
While Brisbane father-son prospect and son of Michael, Casey Voss, has quietly gone about his business for Sturt, he has been a strong improver throughout the season and may receive rookie consideration from the Lions. Featuring in Sturt's bests in their last two Reserves games, the ball-winning midfielder managed 23 disposals, six inside 50s and one goal.

Among the best players for Swan Districts for the second consecutive week, West Coast Next Generation Academy speedster Jarrod Cameron continues his rapid ascension with another impressive performance. The speedy midfielder secured 18 disposals, six marks, six tackles, five inside 50s and one goal in a game that was lost in the final quarter against Subiaco.
