2013 Top 25 player countdown: No. 20

Time to move on in our countdown of the Top 25 players in the ACC headed into the season.

No. 20 Devin Street, WR, Pitt

Previous ranking: Ranked No. 20 in the final 2012 Big East Top 25 player countdown

Making the case: Street may not be a household name in the ACC just yet, but he is sure to turn some heads this season if past history is any indication. Last year, Street set career highs with a Big East-leading 73 receptions for 975 yards and five touchdowns. This year, Street has an opportunity to set school records for receptions and receiving yards. Street needs just 28 receptions to break the mark of 178 set by Latef Grimm between 1998-2000 and 1,015 yards to break the career receiving yards mark set by Antonio Bryant between 1999-2001. Street has a few factors working in his favor this season. For one, he will have a much stronger-armed quarterback behind center than Tino Sunseri, giving the Panthers more of an opportunity to start going down the field more than they have in recent years. Secondly, Street is just about the only proven receiver the Panthers have. That could mean double-teams, but it could also mean many, many more looks as well. Street came back for his senior season for a reason. Now, he's got to take advantage of the opportunity.
