Gators lose two commitments

Florida has lost two four-star commitments this weekend.

Offensive lineman Rod Johnson (Delray Beach, Fla./American Heritage) confirmed the news on Sunday night via text message to GatorNation's Derek Tyson. Johnson joined cornerback Tre' Bell (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep), who confirmed on Saturday that he had switched his commitment from Florida to Vanderbilt.

"Yes, I decommitted and committed to Vandy," Bell said via text message to GatorNation.

Bell, who stands 5-foot-11 and 158 pounds and is the No. 21 cornerback in the nation, committed to Florida at the Gators' spring football game on April 7. He also visited Florida twice recently -- once for the Friday Night Lights camp on July 27 and again after participating in Gridiron Kings.

Johnson (6-6, 316) is the No. 19-rated tackle prospect in the nation. He holds offers from West Virginia, Florida State and Auburn, among others.

Florida now has 20 commits in its No. 2-ranked class of 2013.
