The 2018 recruiting class was one of the best in recent memory, headlined by five-star quarterbacks out of the state of Georgia -- Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence.
The Peach State was also home to a powerful No. 1 class from Georgia, which beat out Ohio State and Texas for the top spot. The Bulldogs' class was led by No. 1 overall recruit Fields, and 12 other players who ranked in the top 75 of the ESPN 300 that year. Two years later, the class has by and large lived up to expectations and also produced some stars who have raced past expectations.
We examined how different the class would look if we re-ranked players based on their college production. Here are the top 10 players knowing what we know now.
1. Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
Lawrence was the No. 2-ranked prospect in the ESPN 300 coming out of high school in Georgia. Lawrence sits atop the re-ranking due in large part to a larger body of work and leading the Tigers to the 2019 national championship. The former five-star prospect has backed up a terrific freshman campaign with a solid sophomore season of 2,575 passing yards and 27 TDs with eight interceptions.
