Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett won't play against Miami

Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett will not play in Saturday's game against No. 13 Miami due to an ankle injury..

Pickett suffered the injury during last Saturday's overtime loss to Boston College, the second straight game he has exited due to injury.

The Panthers started freshman Joey Yellen at quarterback. Freshman Davis Beville will be Pittsburgh's backup at quarterback.

Pickett, a senior, has thrown for 1,389 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions this season.

Miami's top receiver this season, tight end Brevin Jordan, is also out for Saturday's game. The junior, who has 18 catches for 243 yards and three touchdowns, suffered an apparent shoulder injury during last week's loss to Clemson.
