Gophers without Big Ten rushing leader Darius Taylor in win

Minnesota running back Darius Taylor, the Big Ten's leading rusher entering this week, did not play in Saturday's 35-24 win over Louisiana because of a leg injury.

Taylor, a freshman, ranks No. 2 nationally with 133 yards per game and had 198 yards and two touchdowns before being injured late in Minnesota's overtime loss at Northwestern last week.

With Taylor out, freshman Zach Evans (15 carries, 85 yards, 1 TD), senior Bryce Williams (15 carries, 53 yards, 1 TD) and senior Sean Tyler (10 carrries, 47 yards) shared the workload at running back.

The Golden Gophers (3-2) snapped a two-game losing streak ahead to their matchup with No. 2 Michigan next week.
