Air Force, SMU to visit Michigan

Air Force will return to Michigan in 2017 under a deal that also has the men's basketball team visiting the Wolverines on an undetermined date.

The Wolverines also have announced future home football games against Central Florida (2016) and SMU (2018).

Air Force lost 31-25 at Ann Arbor last season in front of the largest crowd -- 112,522 -- to attend a game in which the Falcons played.

The 2017 game will be the third between the schools. Michigan also beat Air Force 24-7 in Ann Arbor in 1964, when Air Force superintendent Paul Stein was the Falcons' quarterback.

It will be the first meeting between Michigan and UCF, and will give the Wolverines three straight home games to open the 2016 season. The Ball State game originally slated for that season will be played on a date to be determined.

SMU will be making its second visit to the Big House, having lost 27-16 to Michigan in 1963.
