Sooners continue WR windfall with 2022 commit Jordan Hudson

Oklahoma is adding another talented receiver to its future offense, as Jordan Hudson, an ESPN Junior 300 wide receiver in the 2022 class, announced his commitment to the Sooners on Tuesday.

Hudson is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect from Garland (Texas) High School and is ranked No. 34 overall in the class.

He had offers from some of the top programs in the country, including Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Oregon, Texas and Texas A&M. Hudson's commitment gives Oklahoma two commitments in the 2022 class, along with ESPN Jr. 300 linebacker Kobe McKinzie, who is ranked No. 80 overall.

Hudson adds to a string of success at the receiver position over the past few classes for Oklahoma. In the 2019 class, the Sooners signed three ESPN 300 receivers, including the No. 1- and No. 3-ranked wideouts in the class in Jadon Haselwood and Theo Wease. The staff signed ESPN 300 receiver Marvin Mims in 2020 and currently has two ESPN 300 wide receivers committed in the 2021 class, including Mario Williams Jr., the No. 1-ranked receiver.

The staff has also added the No. 1-ranked dual-threat quarterbacks in 2019 (Spencer Rattler) and in 2021 (Caleb Williams), along with the No. 7-ranked dual-threat quarterback in 2020 (Chandler Morris).
