Scorer: @Thilak_Rama | Commentator: Rvel Zahid

Pakistan showed fight and were competitive in many sessions but an erratic, frantic and panic-stricken few hours yesterday hurt them badly as Australia held their nerve in the crucial junctures of the Test. That's all from us today, but do stick around for match report, analysis, features and lots of more post-match content. This is me, Rvel Zahid, signing off on behalf of Alex Malcolm and everyone else at Cricinfo. We appreciate your warm company and feedback throughout the series! Good day and keep enjoying this beautiful sport

Match Report: Warner's fairytale farewell powers Australia to 3-0

David Warner: "Massive part of your life and without their support you can't do what you do. I owe credit to my parents for giving me a beautiful and great upbringing. My brother Steve, I followed in his footsteps. And then Candice came along and sort of got me in line. We've had a beautiful family and I cherish every moment I get with them. I love them to death and I'm not going to keep carrying on because I'll get too emotional. But thank you, Candace, for what you've done. You mean the world to me, and I appreciate it. I think it'd be quite emotional to watch the guys go out there and not play and knowing that I was able to come out here and do what I could do. But as I just mentioned you got a great bunch of cricketers here. We are all almost over 30 years of age. So as time goes by, we're not getting younger, but this team, they're energetic, they're world class and they're a great bunch of guys. [Would like to be remembered as] exciting, entertaining, and I hope I put a smile on everyone's face with the way that I played and hopefully the young kids out there can follow in my footsteps. White ball cricket to Test cricket. It's the pinnacle of our sport. So keep working hard to play the red ball game because it's entertaining as well."

Cummins on Warner "It's going to be hard to replace Davey, he's basically played every game for the last dozen years, he's a huge personality, he really sets the game up with the way he plays every time he walks out. He's going to be huge to replace. We'll enjoy him for the next day or so while we've still got him around."

Pat Cummins, Player of the Series : Having them four down really set the game up. I thought batters adjusted really well and it was like subcontinent conditions, they swept well, you can't just survive there, you got to put pressure on bowlers. (On Hazelwood), oh, it was great, brilliant Test cricket late in the day, entire stadium erupted. Huge cheers for Mitch Marsh, he is thriving, he is a guy who puts a lot of pressure on the oppositions (on Warner) it's gonna be hard to replace Davey, he is a huge personality, he really sets the game up, he's gonna be huge to replace.

Aamer Jamal, Player of the match: Yes, I waited long to get here. Congratulations to Australia and thank you everyone who came in to watch this game. Feelings are incredible and over the moon and performing against great Australian side wasn't easy but I stick to my basics so I succeeded. (on batting) Loved every moment, I knew they will come hard on us so I wasn't giving up and focusing on every ball. I think we have got very talented Mir Hamza, Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali so I will stick to (bowling later)

Shan Masood: Taking a lead, missing a few chances, it's a bit of Déjà vu since Melbourne, Australia went searching for wickets, we left the gate open and they made full use of it. realistically, we would have liked anything over 200, that doesn't make batter take that many risks early on so I think we were quite a few runs short and Australia bowled really well again. We are learning it the hard way. I think that's the thing we have to do as a Test team going forward, Rizwan top scored but nobody got over 200 runs this series, If we can make those little improvements, grab those chances, make fifties into hundred, so the little improvements could help us. We got 10 months to play the next Test match so plenty of time to get back and re-apply. (Shan presents Babar Azam's shirt as a parting gift to David Warner) what a lovely gesture from Pakistan team.

The series has been played in great spirit. Pakistan team congratulates David Warner for a terrific career, handshakes and hugs all-around.

Australia dominated with a tremendous comeback in this Test, swung the momentum yesterday through a breathtaking display of bowling in the last session. Pakistan found themselves in several phases where they could have retained the upper hand, but they lost control from dominant positions which has been a recurring theme for the touring party, and Australia capitalized on the reprieves, making Pakistan pay for scruffy fielding. It's fitting that David Warner played an important role in the win in his farewell Test. He caps off a staggering career with a match-winning knock. He epitomized the head-on typical Australian way of playing cricket right from the beginning of his career in 2011, continuing the legacy of greats such as Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden, Mark Waugh, and so forth

It's been a clinical performance against a mercurial side. Pakistan were simply blown away in the second innings and squandered the advantage after Aamer Jamal wrapped up the tail quickly. Josh Hazlewood was exceptional in the second innings, and the well-oiled bowling attack with heaps of experience did the job with minimal fuss in the end. A great and emphatic way to start 2024 as Australia win the Benaud-Qadir Trophy. After winning the World Test Championship, retaining the Ashes, and securing victory in the ODI World Cup, Australia continues their stellar run by completing a whitewash.

One of Australia's finest opening batters, Warner, had a memorable swansong Test. He hangs up his boots in his 112th Test after amassing 8786 runs at a stellar average 44.59, with 26 centuries and 37 half-centuries. He is one of the rare successful all-format players who will be remembered for his swashbuckling style of play and being an incredible entertainer who makes every format of cricket look good

Roby Stephen : "What a great career for Warner ,still remaining as one of the nest batsmen and fielders in the side ,always ever dependable in any format . His innings reminds me of Tendulkar's, signing off in style in a winning cause scoring a half century like Tendulkar scoring 70 odd against the Windies . A salute to a great champ and ambassador of the game. "

Sowmya : "Catches at crucial moments cost Pakistan dearly. They were good but you need to on top of your game every ball vs Australia "

Mal: "The fight shown by Pakistan, moments of pure brilliance, the emergence of Jamal, absence of animus between the two teams...I think this has been the most enjoyable series I've watched in recent years. Thank you to both teams, the officials, pizza delivery guy, and to Cricinfo for bringing it to us."

Badar: "Just tuned in to see Australia completing the whitewash comprehensively. It maybe another generational wait to see Pakistan winning down under. Well played Aussies and thank you Warner for entertaining us in the longest format. Best wishes for him. "

VijayPattar: "Would have been nice to give MOS to Marsh, 4 fifties in 5 innings, 2 90's couple of rescue acts.
