Warner and Bairstow punish sloppy Knight Riders

The Sunrisers Hyderabad batting pair put on 131 in just 12.2 overs, which reduced the 160-run chase to a cakewalk in the end

That's all from us here but we our coverage of the second match between Royal Challengers and Super Kings is already underway.

Khaleel Ahmed is the man of the match: Yeah, wicket was slow, starting I got hit and after that I understood how the wicket was playing. Warner and Bairstow played exceptionally well.

Kane Williamson: The two at the top have been doing it all season, hopefully they can continue, they were outstanding. To take nothing away from the first half, the bowler's came back from adversity, it was a really good effort. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch the two at the top hit the ball like that. Without a doubt Warner and Bairstow will be big losses, they are world class players, we knew at the start of the tournament that we will lose them at the back end of the tournament and new guys will come in then.

Anish: "Karthik's captaincy this season has been just as disappointing as his batting. The management really needs to look into it."

The middle-order might be a problem for the Sunrisers but at the moment Warner and Bairstow are guarding them expertly. On this occasion they added 131 in just over 12 overs -Warner reaching 500 runs for the fifth successive time - and from there Knight Riders had no way back. Their bowling has looked toothless for most of the season, with their spin trio struggling, and today, even though Kuldeep Yadav was dropped, the results weren't any better. The fielding was even poorer. They dropped Bairstow thrice and that cost them dearly.

Jonny Bairstow: The bowlers did really well to restrict them after the start they had got. Could have been chasing 200 after that start. He's (Warner) a great bloke to bat with, we run well between wickets, which helps. I think there's been a lot of chat about the middle order, unfairly so, but they haven't had too much time in the middle. Loving every bit of my first IPL.

Dinesh Karthik: 160 I thought was a par score if we bowled well. They batted really well, two world-class players, but our fielding was off the boil. Dropping Bairstow so early was always going to cost us. Every game I've been saying that we believe we can win but we were outplayed here. Our bowling has been off colour and our fielding needs big improvement. Definitely a form issue (dropping Kuldeep), he couldn't stand up for us in the last game
