11.35pm So that's that. Two player-of-the-match awards in his first two IPL games and we know Mayank Yadav can end up doing special things. Of course he is today's star. But there were contributions as well from Quinton de Kock and Nicholas Pooran with the bat, and Devdutt Padikkal in the field as LSG handed a bit of a thrashing to RCB. Lomror's 13-ball 33 was probably the only bright spark from RCB's batting, and maybe Rajat Patidar finding some form. But they know they need to really turn things around after losing three of their first four games - and two of them at home! That's all the action from today. On behalf of Himanshu, Chandan and everyone else here at ESPNcricinfo, this is Abhimanyu signing off. Goodnight!

11.25pm Time for the presentation ceremony. As you wait, you can read a little more about this IPL's biggest sensation, courtesy Nagraj Gollapudi.

The player of the match is of course, none other than Mayank Yadav, for the second game in a row. Here's what he has to say: "I feel very good, winning two POTM awards, but I am happier that we won both the matches. My aim is to play for India as much as possible. So I feel this is just the start and my main goal is what I am focussed on. [Favourite wicket?] Cameron Green's. I think to bowl at this speed, a lot of things are important. Diet, sleep, training. If you bowl fast, you have to be perfect in a lot of things. So right now I focus a lot on my diet and recovery."

LSG captain, KL Rahul: "It was overall a really good performance. Very obvious that the wicket was a bit tricky. Slightly on the sticky side. Having said that, Quinton gave us a really good start and by the time the opposition found the right lengths to bowl we had got ahead of the game. They bowled really well in the back end. So yeah, the chat was to use the wicket. Not to bowl yorkers, and to stay calm and not fall under pressure. [On keeping to Mayank Yadav] Yeah one ball hit me really hard but so happy to see Mayank bowl the way he has in the last couple of games. Quietly waited for two seasons because of injury but he has been working very hard. He understands bowling 155kph is not easy. It's great seeing him bowl that fast from behind the stumps. [On defending totals] Every time I come to the ground and we have our meetings and the coach or analysts asks me what I want to do if we win the toss, I always want to say bowl first, but if I have a look at our record, it speaks differently. The good thing I'm doing is losing tosses as that really helps as I end up batting first so even if we lose no one can blame me for making the wrong decision [chuckles]. Unless we are getting bowled out or the opposition has blasted us out of the game, we can go back and look at our strategies. But it's okay to lose a few, doesn't mean we are a bad team. We bounced back really well from the first game. Powerplay bowling has been a big question for us so we are trying to fix that. If we can get a wicket or two. We went with spin today which is a very obvious matchup against RCB. We'll keep seeing how we can get better as a team."

Raghavendhra: "First time team has been all out in an innings this season."

11.10pm Mayank Yadav, in two consecutive matches, has turned it around for LSG. 182 looked like a very chaseable target at the Chinnaswamy but an electric spell of raw pace and great accuracy means that LSG record a comfortable victory! Mayank took three for fourteen, including the big wickets of Maxwell and Green, as he regularly breached the 150kph mark, including the fastest delivery of the season at 156.7kph. LSG targeted Kohli and du Plessis by bowling three overs of left-arm spin right at the start and it did account for Kohli's wicket after he got a quick start. But after that, it was all downhill for the hosts who slump to back-to-back defeats at Chinnaswamy.

QDK: "Normally batting first here is quite difficult. You never know what kind of score is enough. I thought 180 wasn't enough. [On the pitch] The ball was holding in the pitch and bouncing and I couldn't play as freely. I had to control the innings and bat for longer. We lost wickets at bad times so I had to bat longer. [On Mayank Yadav] Glad to have him in our team. He is bowling rockets at the moment. He is keeping things simple. Youngsters bowling express pace can get caught up trying different things. [On Pooran's knock] That's why he's paid the big bucks I guess! When I'm playing anywhere in the world, as an opener I have to figure out my conditions. Anywhere we bat we always get different conditions. Even if you play in the same stadium, it's never the same"

Faf du Plessis: "[On dropping QDK and Pooran] Mistakes like that can really cost you. [On facing Mayank Yadav] As with any new young fast bowler, it's an action you haven't faced before and he has the pace behind it. His pace was great but more impressive was his ability to control length and bowl with discipline. It's pace combined with accuracy. [On the target] I didn't think we were very good tonight with our bowling. Lot of mistakes in the powerplay. We gave some easy boundaries. We bowled some really good death overs to bring them back. But then you need partnerships. As basic as that. And we never got that. Disappointing, but we need some strong characters in that dressing room to put their hands up."
