5.01pm Got a little tight in the final over for Rangpur Riders, but for large parts of the chase, a soothsayer could not have called it better. Hales took off from the get-go, easing the pressure off Gayle with a blistering half-century, and then came de Villiers, he tore into Yasir Shah, and finally, when he was gone too, Gayle took over and upped the ante when it momentarily felt like the Titans were clawing back into the game. Gayle was circumspect for most parts, letting a number of deliveries outside off-stump through to the keeper, refusing singles but the five timely sixes he smashed off Yasir and Mahmudullah meant that he finished with a 40-ball 55 and the Titans were never given a realistic chance back into the match. Rossouw, the highest scorer this BPL, finished it off with a six in the final over. The win lifts Rangpur Riders to the third spot.

Hales - Both Gayle and I can take our time, I was looking to go against the seamers and he wanted to target the spinners
