Dinesh Karthik: "Disappointed, but proud of the boys. The boys showed what they were capable of in the tournament. At the start of the year, if you told me we'd be in two white-ball finals, I'd have taken it. We need to take this confidence into the Ranji Trophy."
Manish Pandey: "We had won it last year, but victory was sweeter this time. The way the boys played whole tournament was unbelievable. I can't thank anyone individually, everyone put in so much effort. I thought I was the best man to take responsibility so that's how I batted. Luckily, that happened. Looking forward to the India series, but tomorrow a big series to come... I'm getting married tomorrow (laughs). Thank you Surat, you've been amazing all the games9"
10.30pm So Karnataka successfully defend their domestic 20-over title. Their support staff run into the ground to celebrate with them. R Ashwin looked pretty devastated and now the TN players shake hands with their opponents. This was a classic final, one that deserved the full-house crowd that made their way to the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium. Karnataka are now holders of the 50-over title as well as the 20-over title.
Anjan: "There's not much difference between the sides in terms of runs scored or the strike rate of the batsmen. But TN conceded 9 runs in wides, and KN gave away just 1!"
Sowmya : "A wide was given off Washington Sundar's bowling which brushed Manish Pandey's pads. DK was very upset with the umpire KN Anantapadmanabhan. T20 is a format where everything counts, isn't it?? "

They scamper across for a single as Gowtham picks up the ball and removes the stumps to show that it's a dead delivery. For R Ashwin's part, he was trying to take a second run, but by then it was called a dead ball already. Heartbreak for TN, joy for Karnataka. The rivalry gets a new chapter....
