For some players, the Futures Game is their first -- and last -- time on a national stage before they become major leaguers. Last year's game was littered with 2015 stars such as Kris Bryant, Noah Syndergaard and Maikel Franco. Carlos Correa and Mookie Betts were also named to their respective rosters but did not participate. But some players' time has not yet come.
Here we list the top 10 prospects from the 2014 Futures Game still waiting for a call-up.
Corey Seager, SS Los Angeles Dodgers
Current Level: Triple-A 2014 U.S. Team
Analysis: Seager was invited back to this year's game, where he would have been the main attraction. The Dodgers, however, declined the invite. In the meantime, the top prospect in the game continues to hit the ball at whatever level Los Angeles puts him in. He dominated Double-A and is currently holding more than his own in the Pacific Coast League. Seager will miss the All-Star festivities this time around but could be playing in the game in 2016.
