German second-tier side St Pauli are a club who have forged themselves a well-earned reputation for doing things a little differently during the years, regularly hitting the headlines for their unorthodox approach.
The club's latest stunt saw them send along an imposter to the unveiling ceremony of new signing Marvin Ducksch.
The chap in question appeared wearing a mask of head coach Ewald Lienen as the 62-year-old was otherwise engaged and unable to attend the event in person.

Sadly the ruse didn't last long, with fans quickly cottoning on that the man posing alongside Ducksch wasn't actually their beloved coach and bombarding the club with messages on social media.
So near, and yet so far!
