Just when it looked like they were down and out, Halesowen rallied to snatch victory from the jaws of a heavy defeat in the FA Youth Cup on Thursday evening.
The West Midlands-based side found themselves trailing 7-2 against Nuneaton Borough with just 28 minutes of the tie remaining.

So Nuneaton Borough led 7-2 in the FA Youth Cup tonight with 30 minutes left but Halesowen came back and won 9-8. Surely the greatest turnaround of all time? 😰 pic.twitter.com/wdbMbC2ToS

However, after experiencing divine intervention of some kind, the away side scored seven goals in the final period of the game to eventually seal an amazing 9-8 win.
Halesowen were still trailing 8-7 when the match moved into injury time, but a last-gasp brace of goals from Emlyn Tudgay saw them escape with a scarcely fathomable win -- a dramatic conclusion witnessed by 83 hardy fans!
You've got to feel sorry for Nuneaton striker Luke Corcoran, however, who scored five goals in one match and somehow still managed to end up on the losing side.
