NEW YORK -- Attending a black-tie affair on the 102nd floor of the World Trade Center in Manhattan is a unique opportunity. Doing so while also having a world-class karate competition feet away is another. It's exactly what took place last Thursday night as 20 fighters from 13 countries fought in front of spectators near floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the bustling streets of New York.
