Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov will be temporarily suspended beginning Monday, according to Nevada Athletic Commission executive director Bob Bennett.

A hearing will take place Oct. 24, when the NAC chairman and commissioners will vote on whether McGregor and Nurmagomedov will be indefinitely suspended pending the results of the commission's investigations.

Following their UFC 229 lightweight title bout Saturday in Las Vegas, in which Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor by fourth-round submission, the Dagestan native leaped over the Octagon cage and into the crowd in an attempt to fight members of McGregor's team. While this occurred, McGregor climbed the cage as well and threw a punch at a member of Nurmagomedov's team who came at him.

Nurmagomedov is likely to receive a sanction for starting the postfight brawl. According to sources, it is likely McGregor will also receive a sanction for jumping on the cage.

Unlike McGregor, Nurmagomedov has yet to receive his full purse for fighting on Saturday. Bennett would not comment on why this is still the case.
