UFC star Conor McGregor has continued to donate medical supplies to various hospitals in his native Ireland, all while apparently planning a return to the Octagon this summer.
McGregor donated another round of personal protective equipment to more than 170 facilities Tuesday, according to Paradigm Sports, which represents McGregor. In total, he has donated more than 1.4 million euros' worth of medical supplies in response to the coronavirus pandemic, and he made an appearance at Crumlin Children's Hospital on April 30.
Last month, McGregor's Proper Twelve Irish whiskey brand announced it had donated $100,000 to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's COVID-19 fund.

McGregor (22-4) has been an outspoken advocate for health and safety in his home country during the pandemic, and he has been a proponent for stay-at-home measures. He did express support in favor of reopening certain businesses under new safety measures late last month.
Audie Attar, agent for the former two-weight champion, told ESPN's Ariel Helwani last week that McGregor was watching last weekend's UFC 249 pay-per-view event closely as he considers a July comeback.

Apparently, McGregor was satisfied with UFC's precautionary measures, which included multiple COVID-19 tests for athletes, routine temperature checks and events with no live audience.
On Monday, McGregor tweeted, "See you in July," and called for a bout against newly crowned interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje.
