Burks rushes for 4 more scores in Kennesaw State's 56-0 win
KENNESAW, Ga. -- Chandler Burks continued to churn out touchdowns, rushing for four scores and passing for another, to lead Kennesaw State to a its fifth straight win, 56-0 over Presbyterian in both teams' Big South opener on Saturday.
Burks came in with 10 rushing TDs to lead the FCS. Saturday marked the 11th time he rushed for multiple scores and the fifth straight time this season. It's his second game with four rushing TDs.
The Owls (5-1, 1-0), ranked third in the FCS coaches' poll, have outscored their opponents by 215 points during their win streak.
Burks' TD pass, a 25-yarder to Darnell Holland, opened the scoring before the QB ran for the next four scores, the longest a 38-yarder that gave the Owls a 35-0 lead.
The Owls, who have won 13 straight home games, outgained the Blue Hose (2-2, 0-1) 637-141 and had two takeaways, the 20th straight game they have forced a turnover.
