Sky Blues let Crawley off hook
Coventry threw away the chance to pick up their first win in four games as Crawley came back from two goals down to draw 2-2.The Sky Blues could have gone ahead after only a minute when John Fleck saw his effort strike the post before they did take the lead in the 14th minute.Jim O'Brien's free-kick was palmed out by Crawley goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown and Josh McQuoid was on hand to finish from close range. The home team doubled their lead in the 27th minute after a fine move was finished hard and low by Simeon Jackson and that seemingly put the dominant Sky Blues out of sight. But Crawley clawed their way back into the match in the 33rd minute with a goal out of the blue. Gwion Edwards picked up the ball on the edge of Coventry's box and curled a shot into the top corner. And in the 37th minute parity was restored when full-back Aaron Phillips opted to head a low ball in the box. That put pressure on City's defence and allowed Izale McLeod to level from 10 yards.
