City deliver on home soil
Bradford ended a run of three home matches without a win with a deserved 3-1 victory over 10-man Leyton Orient.Bradford dominated the first half and their pressure paid off three minutes before the interval with a goal from midfielder Billy Knott.On-loan winger Andy Halliday flicked the ball into the path of Jon Stead and the tall striker played it across the face of goal for the unmarked Knott to side-foot it into the empty net.Orient goalkeeper Adam Legzdins did well to keep out two shots from Billy Clarke in the 37th and 38th minutes, but could do nothing to prevent Knott from giving Bradford a deserved lead.Orient equalised in the 75th minute when substitute David Mooney took advantage of a mistake by defender Rory McArdle and raced away to slot the ball into the far corner, but Bradford secured their win with two goals in three minutes. The visitors lost striker Chris Dagnall two minutes later, sent off for a foul on Knott and Bradford took advantage, Clarke restoring their lead in the 79th with shot high into the roof of the net from James Meredith's cross and Stead added a third in the 81st minute after closing down an attempted clearance from Legzdins.
