Chairboys thump Robins
Wycombe recovered from an early setback to return to winning ways in emphatic style with a 4-1 win over 10-man Cheltenham.The Robins took the lead in the third minute when Matt Richards' corner was nodded in by Steve Elliott.Wycombe were back on level terms inside 60 seconds when fine play from Paul Hayes teed up Paris Cowan-Hall, whose fierce shot flew in off the underside of the bar.Wanderers were awarded a penalty in the 19th minute after Elliott was adjudged to have shoved Peter Murphy, but Trevor Carson made an excellent save to keep out Hayes' spot kick.Cheltenham were reduced to 10 men when Lee Vaughan was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Murphy in the 24th minute.And it went from bad to worse for the home side in the 37th minute when Joe Jacobson's ball was touched on by Cowan-Hall for Steven Craig to put Wycombe ahead.Jacobson made it 3-1 in the 70th minute with a superb strike from all of 30 yards and substitute Matt McClure added the fourth in the final minute.
