Ryan's slaughter for Carlisle

Carlisle were left hovering perilously just above the relegation places after Exeter's 3-1 victory at Brunton Park.A brace of goals from Ryan Harley, one in each half, plus an added-time breakaway effort by Liam Sercombe earned the Grecians their first win in eight games.Steven Rigg's reply for Carlisle was in vain as City saw out the game despite a couple of late scares.City took the lead in the 31st minute when they were handed a second chance after Alex Nicholls had cleverly lobbed Dan Hanford. The ball bounced off the bar and Tom Nichols turned it back across the six-yard line for Harley to steer the ball under the diving keeper.Rigg drew Carlisle level in the 39th minute with his fifth goal of the season, latching on to David Amoo's pinpoint cross from the right and volleying right footed past James Hamon from 10 yards.Exeter went back in front in the 56th minute when Clinton Morrison's lay-off picked out Harley, who drilled a low shot from 22 yards which beat Hanford's dive just inside the right-hand post.Carlisle piled forward in search of an equaliser and left the back door open for Sercombe to clinch it for Exeter, running through unchallenged to slip the ball past Hanford.
