El Khayati on target in Burton win
Nasser El Khayati's second goal in as many games helped Burton maintain their charge at the top of Sky Bet League Two with a 4-1 win over Tranmere. The Dutchman scored after the break to dampen any Tranmere hopes of a comeback after Kayode Odejayi had halved the deficit following two goals from Damien McCrory and Lucas Akins.Adam Dudgale's late own goal then confirmed matters, leaving Tranmere above the drop zone on goal difference.Burton went ahead on 18 minutes when McCrory received the ball from Stuart Beavon and smashed home inside the box.Four minutes later Akins blasted home after Owain Fon Williams had initially saved. But Odejayi pulled Rovers back into the match on 35 minutes with an outstanding 25-yard strike. They even had a chance to equalise on 57 minutes when Phil Edwards hauled down Odejayi in the box but Max Power's penalty was saved by Jon McLaughlin. But El Khayati restored the two-goal cushion with a hooked effort before the luckless Dugdale diverted into his own net.
