Stranraer hold on to progress

Stranraer had to survive a late comeback from League Two Albion as they registered a 2-1 win in the second round of the Petrofac Training Challenge Cup.Striker Craig Malcolm headed the hosts in front from a lovely inswinging corner from Chris Aitken. Rovers increased their lead when another whipped Aitken delivery was not dealt with and Scott Rumsby met it first for 2-0.Forward John Gemmell pulled one back for Albion from the penalty spot after being brought down by defender Frank McKeown in the box.However Albion were unable to find another and Stranraer avoided a potential cup upset to book their place in the next round.
