Taiwo bags a brace as Bairns win

Tom Taiwo bagged a brace as Falkirk survived a Dunfermline fightback and a second-half dismissal to prevail 2-1 at East End Park in the Petrofac Training Cup.A lively start, which featured a few crunching tackles, included a fine save by Ryan Scully from a Rory Loy effort for the Bairns, while Pars forward Michael Moffatt missed from close range at the other end, but neither side managed to hit the back of the net before half-time.Falkirk made a double change after 51 minutes and that did the trick as Taiwo put the visitors in front four minutes later when slotting home from eight yards and the former Chelsea trainee added a second on the hour mark with a delightful chip using the outside of his foot.Andy Geggan pulled one back for the home team in the 68th minute from a Ross Millen set-piece and Falkirk were down to 10 men when substitute Botti Bia Bi, who had set up both goals, received a red card for serious foul play, but the Bairns held on to go through.
