Clyde beaten by late Doyle strike

Jay Doyle netted the winner as East Stirling beat Clyde 1-0 at Ochilview Park to lift themselves from the foot of the Scottish League Two table. The first period was a cagey, goalless affair, although the visitors' Euan Smith tested goalkeeper Richard Barnard on several occasions as the half wore on.Enjoying significantly more possession for most of the game, the away side would have considered themselves on top, but fell behind on 79 minutes as striker Doyle finished from close range after an assist by Ross Gilmour.Clyde's misery was compounded late on as defender Ryan Frances was dismissed for a second bookable offence. The result means Barry Ferguson's side now sit in ninth position, although they have a game in hand on the teams around them.
