Bairns held by Livi

Falkirk were held to a goalless draw at home by Livingston, who climbed off the bottom of the Scottish Championship table. The Bairns dominated the first half but could not find a breakthrough. Blair Alston threatened early on and Rory Loy was unable to convert a couple of half chances, before Darren Jamieson made a superb double save after 11 minutes. The Livingston goalkeeper denied Alex Cooper as he went through one-on-one and then quickly got to his feet to block David Smith's follow-up.At the other end, Falkirk goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald smothered Jordan White's shot at the second attempt.Livingston improved after the interval. Luke Leahy made a timely block to thwart Burton O'Brien before Michael McKenna and Gary Glen went close. The closest either team came to scoring was midway through the second half when Will Vaulks' header was cleared off the line by visiting defender Kyle Jacobs. There was still time for Loy to burst clear on goal but once again Jamieson prevailed in the one-on-one situation.
