Chaplain shines in Rovers rout
Scott Chaplain continued his good recent record against Elgin as Albion eased to a 4-0 victory over the basement side.Chaplain had scored three goals in the last two meetings between the teams and he set Rovers on their way in the fifth minute by heading home Alan Reid's cross.Mick Dunlop's deflected right-footed strike made it two after 10 minutes before Chaplain dispossessed Matthew Cooper and raced clear to slot home another with barely half an hour played.Craig Gunn hit the bar for Elgin in the early stages of the second half but Gary Phillips ended any faint hopes of a comeback when he smashed in a volley after 55 minutes.
