Hurlford denied by Stirling

Hurlford came within minutes of causing a big upset in the Scottish Cup as a late Stirling goal forced a 1-1 draw.The Scottish Junior Super League side were pegged back by their 10-man visitors in the 78th minute after appearing set for a first ever win over senior opposition.Stewart Kean put Hurlford ahead from six yards after Callum Reidford had spilled Steven Masterton's shot in just the 10th minute.The home team looked well-set to record a famous victory and could have been further ahead but for Kean to miss two glorious chances from close range.Craig Wedderburn saw red after picking up a second yellow card for League One side Stirling, but they drew level moments later when Chris Smith headed in from a corner after 78 minutes.Kean missed another chance late on as Stirling held on to take the tie to a replay.
