Boness edge thriller
Darren Gribben netted twice as Boness beat Elgin 5-4 to set up a William Hill Scottish Cup fourth-round clash with Arbroath.The hosts drew first blood in the fourth minute when Gribben fired in from close range but Shane Sutherland levelled things up from the penalty spot seven minutes later.Boness were back in front in the 17th minute when Will Snowden nodded past City shot-stopper Michael Fraser from the middle of the box.Junior side Boness extended their advantage in the 31st minute when Gribben rifled into the top-left corner after good work from Snowden.Boness goalkeeper Mark Peat prevented Sutherland from pulling one back from the spot in the 38th minute but he could do nothing to stop the 24-year-old making it 3-2 from the middle of the box four minutes later.Ross Campbell restored the home side's two-goal lead with a fine header in the 65th minute, before Mark Nicolson's header gave Elgin hope seven minutes later.Nicky Walker made it 5-3 when he swept the ball past Fraser in the 77th minute before Elgin's Marvin Andrews completed the scoring with two minutes left to play.
