Berwick on the up
Darren Lavery netted his eighth goal of the season as Berwick moved into the Scottish League Two play-offs following a comfortable 2-0 victory over struggling Annan. Lavery was lively from the off, testing Annan goalkeeper Alex Mitchell twice in the first 10 minutes. Mitchell denied Paul Willis and Ross Drummond either side of half-time but failed to stop Lavery from finding the net in the 63rd minute. The striker fired into the bottom corner following an assist from fellow frontman Craig Dargo.Mitchell prevented Lavery from adding a second shortly afterwards before Lee Currie fired in a second two minutes from time to secure Berwick's first home league win in five matches.
