Queen's Park won for the eighth time in nine matches when Gus MacPherson's men beat East Stirling 3-0 at Hampden. The Spiders nearly made it two before the break as Shaun Fraser hit an effort over the bar from close range.John Carter doubled the home side's lead before the hour after Paul Woods put a ball across the edge of the six-yard box and John Carter hammered it home. Neil McCabe had the best chance for the visiting side as he pulled his shot wide after 70 minutes. Darren Miller confirmed the win eight minutes from time as he made no mistake from six yards. Miller nearly doubled his tally in the final minute as he pulled his effort wide inside the box.
