More home comforts for Annan
Annan continued their fine run of home form with a last-gasp 2-1 win over East Fife which ended the visitors' five-match unbeaten run in Scottish League Two.In the final minute of normal time, the visitors had Gary Naysmith sent off for fouling David Hopkirk in the area and replacement Scott Davidson smashed the resulting penalty into the top corner. After a tight first half, the Galabankies edged ahead five minutes into the second period when Kieran Brannan's cross was headed in at the near post by Peter Weatherson for his 10th goal of the season.Alan Cook levelled for the Fifers on 74 minutes with a superb curling strike from outside the box and the substitute thought he had netted again soon after, only for this shot to come back out off the post. The game appeared to be heading for a draw until Naysmith's foul allowed Davidson to win another home fixture for his side.
