Stalemate at Shielfield

Berwick and Queen's Park shared the spoils after a goalless Scottish League Two stalemate at Shielfield Stadium. The hosts applied plenty of pressure in the first half but could not make the breakthrough as Steven Notman and Paul Willis went close without scoring.Queen's Park had a penalty appeal turned down soon after the break following a clash between John Carter and Berwick keeper William Bald, while fine defensive work from Bryan Wharton denied the Borderers a tap-in after 68 minutes.Substitute Craig Dargo went close for the home team with a powerful header, William Muir saved from Scott Dalziel and when Berwick did get the ball in the net it was ruled out for a foul in the build-up.
