Loy strike enough for Bairns
Rory Loy's first-half goal proved enough for Falkirk to get back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at home to struggling Alloa. The Bairns' four-match winning run had been ended by Raith last time out but they proved it was only a blip as they did enough to condemn Alloa to a fifth defeat in six matches.Loy grabbed the only goal in the 23rd minute and his ninth of the season with a right-foot shot after good work by Craig Sibbald.Alloa's Daryll Meggatt had a header from a corner cleared off the line by Blair Alston early on while Falkirk had substitute goalkeeper Graham Bowman to thank for the clean sheet.Jamie MacDonald was forced off in the 38th minute after colliding with Alloa striker Liam Buchanan and suffering a facial injury but Bowman kept Alloa at bay.
